Issue 223: The Leather Fraternity International
Drummer is a legendary gay men’s leather magazine which originally launched in Los Angles in 1975 and ran until 1999. It was the largest American leather magazine and has been said to have created the leather movement as we know it today. It featured writers and artists like Tom of Finland, Rex, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Samuel Steward.
With this issue: Iconic fetish images from Robert, Tom and Peter reinterpreted by Steven Harwick for BoundLeatherZine, Inked Kenny and Flash Onyx. Back on our pages 30 years and almost 50 issues later, we talk evolution with the first International Mr. Drummer '93 and ONYX Northwest president, Graylin Thornton.
